You can get an abortion in Kansas but only with an in-person provider. Telemedicine for abortion is prohibited in Kansas.

  • Kansas requires state-directed counseling, then waiting 24 hours before having an abortion. This counseling can be done remotely.
  • If you are under age 18 in Kansas, both parent or guardians must give permission for your abortion. If this is not an option for you, contact the JB Hotline.
  • Abortion in Kansas is legal to just under 22 weeks.
