Connecticut

You must be IN Connecticut for your video visit and provide a residential mailing address in Connecticut.

Medicaid (state insurance) and some private insurance plans may cover abortion. If you would prefer to use insurance, please contact our colleagues from the resources below. We do not accept private insurance or HUSKY Health.

How It Works

1

Complete our automated intake. Make sure you provide accurate health information. This is used to build your private medical record. If you do not qualify, please see one of our colleagues.

2

Participate in a brief scheduled video call with your clinician. They will review the process and answer any questions you have. Most visits take less than 15 minutes.

3

Medication kits are delivered overnight express to your door. Take them on your own schedule. We will follow up by text and have 24/7 medical support if needed.

Financial Support

Medicaid (aka HUSKY Health) covers abortion care in Connecticut. Some private insurance plans may cover abortion. AOD does not accept private insurance or Medicaid in Connecticut at this time. These groups can help with funding, transportation, and other logistics.

  • The REACH Fund of Connecticut has partnered with AOD to provide financial assistance grants for patients who cannot afford the entire cost of their abortion.
