You can get an abortion in Kentucky but only with an in-person provider. Telemedicine for abortion is prohibited in Kentucky.

  • Kentucky requires state-directed counseling, then waiting 24 hours before having an abortion. This counseling can be done remotely.
  • If you are under age 18 in Kentucky, a parent or guardian must give permission for your abortion. If this is not an option for you, contact the JB Hotline.
  • Abortion in Kentucky is legal to just under 22 weeks.
